Either one will probably void your warranty even if you stri the unit. I would and I am an Apple Certified Technician. No offense or anything, but if you do something like that you should just consider your warranty void. We are trained to look for physical signs that a machine may have been damaged (like water of coffee etc.), not that that caused your problem. And they won't refuse to service it, they will just charge a tiered repair rate. Kyle H.
