My Pismo's battery life is now zero, so I'm in the market. Although I'm in the UK, the most promising deals I've found so far are the high- capacity (6600mAh and 7200mAh) NewerTech batteries sold by OWC in the US. Even after shipping and tax these work out slighly cheaper than a standard 5400mAh battery bought here. (Don't ask me why :)
Any comments, or alternative suggestions?
I don't see any responses from anyone else so here's my two bits (about 0.13 pounds :-). I got a 5400mAh battery from PowerBook Medic last summer that has worked out just fine. I don't do a lot of battery-based work as the Pismo is essentially my desktop machine, but the times that I do unplug and go battery it seems to hold a decent charge of 3.5 to 4 hours. OWC beats PBM on pricing hands down--the reasons I went through PBM for that order are a bit long and involved and not particularly worth going into. I shop with OWC for parts, too.
FWIW.
