You would have to work pretty hard to get this to catch on fire at such a low temperature. Things to make sure of: 1) Oven has reliable thermostat. 2) Towel is cotton (as opposed to a synthetic fabric that could melt). 3) Pan, towel, and oven are fairly clean. Set in center of oven.
