I just thank God for progressive bi-focals. I use the 12 inch iBook and find that the 1024 x 768 display is just fine for my needs. I can use Word, browse the web and read email just fine with it sitting on my lap (doing so right now) and I can see the screen just fine. I love all of my Macs...I do feel sorry for my G5 20 inch iMac which sits in my office neglected while I mostly sit out in my family room using the iBook
