This is PBFixit's page on iBooks, it only goes up to the 900 Mhz model, 
but I think the gist of it is the same.

report on xlr8yourmac you don't have to remove the lower shell anymore
to get to the hard drive.  It is still a long and tedious process.  You
will have around 40 screws to remove and you will need to label them as
to where they go back in.  One list member a while back recommend using
color markers to mark the screws and holes they go in, using 1 color for
each screw type.
