As for that, it's as simple as booting from the OS 9.1 CD and installing (IF the drive was reformatted with the OS 9 drivers..if 'classic was removed' it may have simply been trashed or it may have been nuked and OS X re-installed entirely.)

I also have a Pismo 400 running 10.3.8 and somehow in the last re-install it ended up without classic.


Do I really need it? Since I changed over to OS X last year I have not gone back to use 1 single app in OS 9. However, I had a problem with my iMac and had to boot into OS9 to fix it. Is this a consideration for my Pismo? Or can I just leave it as is?

In a somewhat (?) related topic -maintenance- I just installed AppleJack. Any suggestions as to a schedule of use? Monthly, weekly, only after a problem?
