There is another more radical option, my Dad is sending me a G4 cube that he has replaced with a G4 iBook. I've always like the aesthetics of the G3 powerbooks but the cube is every bit as good looking and has the added attraction of being free.
Unless portability is a must, get the Cube. I just bought one from a friend and I'm anxiously awaiting it's arrival. You can upgrade the processors in them as well.
