I have several external Firewire drive that I want to connect to
my server (G4 @ 733MHz) and I wonder if there is any difference
in the performance in how they are connected.

I have:

- LaCie DVD±RW dual layer
- LaCie 250GB d2 Extreme
- Maxtor OneTouch 200GB
- FW case with various 20-30GB disks

Does it matter which drive is connected directly to the Mac ?
and which drive is connected through the first as the all drives
cannot be connected directly to the Mac?
Is a Firewire hub faster/slower/same as connecting the drives
in series (piggy-backing) ?

I hope my question is clear enough, but will obviously further
explain if necessary.

Laurence
