12" PowerBook G4 867 MHz
It requires a 266 MHz 200 pin SO-DIMM DDR memory chip. I found a 512 Meg stick and was informed the 1 Gig chips don't exist. So much for the "Geek SQUAD", should be "Geek Squids". Well the factory 256 Meg is just not cutting it and I opted for a 512 Meg Card, I picked up a K-Byte Memory Chip - 2100/2700 512 Meg DDR SO-DIMM chip for my powerbook. The power book only sees 256 Meg of the 512 chip for a grand total of 384 Meg.
Good thing I picked it up at a local best buy to return it hassle free. Anyone else have this problem? I had a similar problem with single sided 256 PC133 SIMMS on my PeeCee.
Any Suggestions? I would like to buy the memory local, it is better to spend a little extra and have the ability to test and return the RAM if there is a problem. I like "E-BIZZZ" but memory for an Apple Laptop could be a pain in the butt.
