Hello everyone. I am having some issues with my AOL email account, and
I hope that I can explain my dilemma. (Please, no comments about AOL-I
have my reasons) Anyone that uses AOL and OS 10.3 knows that the AOL
software has serious connection problems. Recently AOL figured out a
way to access AOL messages using the Mail program in OSX. Being as I
was already using Mail to check several other email accounts (all POP
accounts), I was happy to have some alternative the the AOL for OS X.
The problem is that on all my other accounts, I l have mail set to
leave messages on the servers and periodically go into accounts and
erase the server. I do this so that I can download messages onto all 4
Mac computers that I regularly use. The messages are automatically
saved on all of my computers. I believe that because the AOL account
is imap, it works differently. When I check mail, the AOL messages go
into my AOL ibox, but they only stay there a few days. The only way
to get them there for a longer period is to save them, or to mark them
as unread. Does anyone know how to get them to stay in the inbox so
that I can delete them when I want to, not when AOL wants them deleted?
I appreciate any help. I am posting this to the g-book list and the
