Hi Malcolm, Thanks a lot!!! Sorry that I posted a little while ago, I looked for more postings, but overlooked yours...
I was thinking about something going through the hinge, because as I had put it down on my recliner stool before I took it up on my lap again, the screen had adjusted itself backwards a bit. It was as I turned it back up again that it went black on me... So I was thinking that maybe some cable broke, something like that? But I don't have a clue as to how these things work... I will just have to make some phone calls tomorrow to find out where I can take it in. Hopefully it is here in my city, so I won't have to send it off... Hope they can do it quite quickly... The one local workshop I know about which is authorized to fix Mac's, fixed a colleague's Mac a while ago, and they took a long time doing it... She wasn't too happy... I will just have to cross my fingers. I have a lot of stuff on it which I need, so sending it off isn't too cool... Thanks again!
