I had a Pismo battery rebuilt. It was not necessary to recalibrate; mine automatically did it over 5 or 6 recharge cycles; Pismo would just continue to operate long after indicating zero; next charge would show a longer time until it stabilised.
However the charge LEDs no longer function; small loss.

Yes, I did rebuild a Pismo battery. I think. However, I was unable to get it
to take a charge, probably because I could not reset the little circuit in
every battery that tells the computer where their charge is. So, unless you
know how to do that, you might not want to try this if you don't want to
waste your time...
