My Fellow PowerBook-philes,

As an aside, I am looking at games for the GF to have as well.

Currently she plays Age of Mythology and American McGee's Alice.

Both of these have Mac versions -- the problem is both seem to have
video requirements higher than what the Wallstreet can provide.

Alice seems out, requiring hardware video acceleration to the tune of
128 MBs of Video RAM.

Age of Mythology seems less adamant on requirements .... but it is still
16 MBs, and if I am not wrong the Wallstreet only carries 4MBs? (Which
is mind-boggling to me, my 1998 PC from Dell came with at least 16 MBs
on its video card standard .... wow, reminds me of 1994.)

My aside:

In other Wallstreet user's experiences, how well do some of the newer
video-intensive games work on a Wallstreet?

Do y'all think a G4 500MHz upgrade would work better? Or even show a
difference?

Now I am wondering if even some of the Myst games might work....

Sincerely,
Pacer the Despondent
