Can I ask you a question? Why didn't you upgrade your Mac OS X installation
to 10.1.5? It's a free upgrade from 10.0.4.
I'll go further....you REALLY go to 10.2 or 10.3 on that one.
My wife's Tangerine is running 10.3 quite happily and remarkably snappily, though she has 288 MB ram not 192. (the 256 mb RAM upgrade is $35 at Data Memory Systems <http://www.datamem.com/viewcat.asp?C=1098>)
10.3 is WAY faster than 10.0; it'll feel like a whole new iBook! OS X is the only OS in a long time that has gotten faster with each iteration since the .0 version.
