Hello All,

Since upgrading OS X 10.4 I have to start with the network recogntion problem at start-up which has been reported earlier by other listers. Manual connection works but is irksome. Hardware I use is: ADSL with Airport Extreme to which a Canon i550 printer and a LAN cable network is connected for my wife's desktop iMac. I'm wireless with my 17" ALPB.

The new problem is that after connecting to the network/internet I get signal strength 15 blue bars but after leaving my PB for 2 - 3 hours idle the connection with the network is lost or only a weak signal strength 3 - 4 bars are shown, This never happened with 10.3.9.

What can be the reason and more important how can this be avoided.

TIA, greetings, Andre.
