Hi Dan, I haven't heard from you in a while. I guess your getting
ready for the big move.
A guy on the itunes list says to just dis-mount it so I am going to
give that a try.

Hi- sorry I didn't get to see your email till now. When it says do
not disconnect it's charging its battery or loading files. When it
updated, it was updating the ipod software. The 2 things that will
happen is it should or should have asked you if you wanted to
transfer the music in iTunes to the iPod erasing anything that was
already installed on it. If the battery needs to be recharged it
would also do that. How long has it been charging? That can take
some time and it's normal. Did it copy any files. You can see that
happening in iTunes up where it shows what music is being played.
