Thanks for the info Luis.
The only problem is when I look in "Network Status" nothing shows, it is
totally blank. I didn't realize it should show something. Got any ideas
why it would be blank?

Maybe you don't have any network ports activated in the "location" you are using.

Try selecting "Network Port Configurations" in that same popup menu, instead of "Network Status".
This is where you can select which network ports you want to use.
Make sure that there is something selected there. You should at least have a checkmark on "Built-in Ethernet", or otherwise I don't see how it could work... Also, it should come in first, as the order you indicate here is the order the system will try to use these ports.
