I recently tried to upgrade my Beige G3's hard drive, and now can't boot.
Anyone seen a firmware message "can't open can't open can't open" (or some
such; using the monitor for something else now) and have any pointers on how
to fix it? That's all I get now. Have reverted back to the old hard drive
and have had one successful boot in about 15 attempts. Can get it to boot
to CD. Am thinking of swapping IDE cables between CD drive and HD, but
thought I'd check with the list.

Thanks!
