What is going on?
Does anyone on this list have this scanner? Does it work with Mac
OS 10.3.9?
I don't have a problem with using it in OS 9.x but want to use it
with my Flat Panel iMac and my Powerbook. I download the OS 10
driver software from Canon's website and followed the instructions:
Double-click [Canon PI CS-U Installer] in the folder to start
installation.
After I do that I get a box that says "Now finding install
locations. Wait" This is followed by a box that is labeled "Install
Location:: and it has 4 buttons at the bottom: "Add Install
Location", "Install" "Remove Install Location". and "Quit" The
first button and the last button are active, with the other two
grayed out. There are no more instructions.
So what do I put for the install location(s)?
On the disk image are folders labeled:
Into CMPrefs
Into Lib_CFMSupport
Into Plug-in
Into Pref_N065
Into Pref_N122
Into Users_Shared
While a search of my harddrive doesn't find any folders with those
names; I DO find a CFMSupport folder, several Plug-ins folders, and
some Shared folders, one of which is in the Users folder.
So should I add the following as install locations:
Users/Shared
Library/CFMSupport
Library/Plug-ins
And what do I do with the CMPrefs & Pref_N122 items? The CMPrefs
folder has three files, only one of which seems to be for the N1220
and according to Get Info is an ICC Profile. The file in the
Pref_N122 is named n122u.dat and is called a Mac Wavelets WBIN
document.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
