Firewire disc mode? Unfortunately, I only have firewire on the iBook

The Wallstreet II has USB, but only through a PCMCIA card which I have

How would you recommend doing this with either an Ethernet crossover
cable
or a pair of USB cables routed through a USB hub?
Alternatively, what else might I try?
Dear List-mate,
How do I connect two PowerBooks, a Wallstreet II running OS 9.2.2 and
an
iBook 500, running OS X 10.3.9 to one another, so that I can copy
files from
one to the other?
It is best to focus on using an ethernet cable connection to establish
your network for file transfer. Use your crossover cable. For a
comprehensive view of the landscape, look at this Apple tech paper:
Mac OS X: About File Sharing
http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=106461
Look up some of the links to other articles. In both the Apple web
support pages and in the Finder Help menus of both OS X and OX 9, look
up topics such as Ethernet, File Sharing, and maybe Users and Groups.
If you need to get involved with Users and Groups, look for a setting
to use Guest without bothering with a password. On the OS 9 machine,
look for using Chooser to use Ethernet and doing something with the
TCP/IP Control Panel. But you can do all this under the guidance of
the Apple web and Help info.
I've done this kind of thing several times. I cannot do it without
checking the Apple web and Help info.
