A subject line like "Can Anybody Help?" doesn't give a clue. Usually,
when I
see something like that I just delete it

Just a little rant against non-descriptive subject lines! How about
it? Just a little clue as to what you need help for!

a good reminder... Always try to give a clue what is
unique/descriptive about you are asking about.

Just add to the subject line a bit of a description of the problem
without going into detail, as with:
help
setting up network --or--
mouse
not working
--or--
argh
(don't /even/ use this)
something went wrong
with my SuperDrive --or--
confused
about Pismo memory requirements
like most folks I do a visual keyword scan of Subject lines
BTW, threading makes this even more difficult!

Also, if you're going to start a new thread (or one suggested by an
already existing one) /change/ the subject line or add, "(whatever the
new subject is) was: (old or related thread subject)."
Sorry. End of rant.
