David--tried your suggestion.

I don't do a lot of mucking around in Terminal, but typed in what you
gave. I got:

2005-12-13 11:03:52.296 defaults[1271]
Rep argument is not a dictionary
Defaults have not been changed.

Any idea what I need to do/change?

thanks!

There is a space missing in the original suggestion, between "IncludeDebugMenu" and "1" (or "0").
