I can't speak directly to cable internet access (check again in a few 
months if BellSouth doesn't clean up their act), but our son's family 
recently added it (QuickSilver G4 and Ice iBook) and it was no problem at 
all. For us BellSouth has been dead simple (if flaky) -- just added a 
"previously owned" 800 MHz dual boot Ice iBook (with the Airport card 
from our previous clamshell Indigo iBook installed) and it was 
immediately able to access our wireless router, the 'Net, and the G4 and 
Mini...
