QTPro is easy, but not fast nor free. It also will take longer but give a
smaller file.

iSquint is a free program which is under very active development. It will let you take much more control over the process and even will let you batch
convert several files (which I tend to do overnight).  It will let you
choose to use mpeg4 which is faster but not as compact as H264 or whatever
it is that QT uses.
