Dear listers,

I've got an old Toshiba 10X CD-ROM that I swapped into my Lombard, because the stock DVD-ROM was getting flaky, but it's not letting me boot from a known good SuSE Linux disc, even though it shows up in the Finder perfectly fine.

Any suggestions? The drive starts to spin up, but it defaults to the hard
drive before it can do anything with the CD.

You tried "C" key at startup?
Selecting the CD from the Startup Disk Control Panel?
Command,Option, Shift, Delete at startup?
Option key then select the CD?
