I have an 650 with Power Mac upgrade. It has a 1 gig external drive. I have
forgotten how to make the 1 gig external the default start up drive. I have
system 8 on both drives. I can start up off the 1 gig by holding down
"command, option, shift, delete, and 4 (the scsi address of the 1 gig) but
am unable to get the machine to start up with the 1 gig without doing this.
I tried putting an alias of the 1 gig in the start up folder of the main HD,
didn't work. The frustrating thing is, I used to have the 1 gig as the
default and ever since I ran Tech tools 2 on both drives, it reverted back
to the smaller main drive and I haven't been able to get it to use the 1 gig
drive as the default. I feel as if I'm forgetting something really simple.
Anybody know what it is?
Thanks, Kathi
