Yesterday I finally had it with the Netopia router. I'll never figure out how to get it running, and also it seemed it could only have one phone # stored for dialing, which make it inadequate for my needs (I have 2 IPSs and homebanking). So I took the new modem cable my ISP send for me (had the house flooded with long-time-no-see-friends when it arrived and thus no time to test it then), plugged it in, and was blessed with flashing lights on my Eicon Diva. When all this started, I did try out another modem cable, but for some strange reason, it seems the Eicon Diva didn't like that cable (works fine on my 56k). I also tried a localtalk cable on the printer port, but at that time the old modem cable, with the bend pins were still in the modem port, so maybe some sort of short circuit prevented connection? Anyways, the G3 and I has recovered from yet another trauma, and are back online.
