THANKS for the link to the site for the download, Groucho.
I have Explorer 5 and am in a good spot, about a half mile from a Central
Office, so I have pretty good speed with a regular telephone connection and
Earthlink with a 56k modem. I did have DSL, but the service was so bad, and
PacBel charged me more than promised, so I cancled out.
I started my 15 part download on a Friday night after my shift at the
Newspaper. The 4.6 segments took over 30 minutes each, and this was at 2 in
the morning. I thought it would be faster at that time. I was proven wrong
the next morning. At 11 or 12 noon the next day, Sat. I downloaded at 10-15
minutes for each 4.6M section. I couldn't believe the difference. Is
maintainence or something done at the ISP in the early morning hours?
Thanks, Kathi
