yep, similar problem, but only once i'd loaded up all the Apache, PHP, MySQL
stuff - also hangs at startup a bit.....
from what i've read it may have something to do with unix being self
cleaning - there are log files stored and when your away from the mac (and
it's still on, apple dont want us to turn off our machines EVER!!!) they
swing into action and start doing house work tasks. i pretty sure if the
machine is restarted or shut down when these tasks are going to start up,
they build up and can lead to a slower mac.......
hope this helps, could be barking up the wrong tree!
