I can't help you with your search for the beige G3, sorry. But, as far
as Netscape goes, my attitude is "try the new version and see if they've
improved." It's nice to see that 6.1 has fixed a lot of the performance
and stability issues that were in 6.0 (assuming you can install it
successfully, which seems pretty hit-and-miss), but I wouldn't say that
it's better than IE 5. For what it's worth, I do most of my browsing in
Opera and OmniWeb (OS X only).
