Thank you all for the suggestions....... I've tried the 'Print to a Postscript file ~ Distiller route'........ The 'Select the PDFWriter in the Chooser' route........ and the The 'Select the Laserwriter 8 in the Chooser' route........
All ways that I already am familiar with and have tried again via your suggestions.....even played with my options everytime...... Still no go...... The error message that comes up now is that "The file 'blahblah' will be moved to the trash because no desktop printer exists for this spool file." And then the spool file is in the trash—not a PS file nor a pdf....... I have the HP Desktop printer icon and the PDFWriter icon on the desktop, plus I have tried selecting several different printer descriptions from the Quark print box..... I have the same software specs on an older G4 400 at work and I do not have, nor ever had this problem—I'm stumped...... I know my HP have its own Postscript-like language, but do I need to have an actual postscript printer in order to do this...I wouldn't think so. What else do you think? Thanx......
