I'm installing a OWC branded G4/500 in my Beige G3 this evening. I already downloaded (and installed from work - woo ssh) the G4 cache enabling software from PowerLogix for OS X. I understand that when I put the correct jumpers in and install the G4, the cache should be enabled when I start up. My question is: Do I need to install any software to enable the Altivec instructions for OS X (10.1.4)?
