If you have ruled out the the adapter beeing loose and all connections
(cables and other)
assuming that you have zapped 10 times try trashing the displey preferenses
file in the preference folder located in the system folder

I also have the 4 gig drive and in my experiance all sort of strange things
happen after you fill it. So you should deffenently defrag and if you have
DiskWarrior, juse that.

If all else fails you can do a clean install, after aliminating that this is
due to loose adapter or a cable problem.

Have you tryed another monitor??????
