Hello all,
I just purchased OS X to install on my 2 G-3's but I am having inconsistant
problems like when I place the X disk in the mac hine at start up I don't
get the Happy Mac rather I get what appears to be a torn folder.
This happens in both machines.
If I wait for the machine to boot fully and place the disk in the cd rom I
get no OS X icon on the desktop.

The first time I inserted the disk in the machine I received a message
something like "To Install restart your machine." When I hit the restart
button I then get another message to the effect "...can't locate start up
disk.

One last thing, holding down the "c" key at start up doesn't do any good.
Thanks,
Kim
