Just one final cooling query guys... well I think so anyway! ;) Another thing thats raised my concerns is that fact that I have an IBM 9.1gb 68pin scsi drive located in the bottom bay of the desktop. I noticed last night that is was running alot hotter than the 40gb IBM ide drive in the top bay... well of course due to the higher rpm's, and I run OS X off that drive aswell. I would like to have the IBM scsi in the top bay, where there is more space and its away from the processor... I'm sure the heat generated by that drive helps keep the processor temp high as they're very close. Well it might only be a few degress. Anyway this is where the biege desktop case is a pain... since I'm using an Adaptec 2930 scsi card, running the cable from the top bay across the top of the chasis means it gets caught when the case cover is put back on. I'd love to machine out a nice large hole in the grill thats beside the pci slot bay so I could feed the cable through.
So coupled with a hot G4 cpu and a hot scsi drive beside it, I think I am more inclined towards a tower rebuild. What do you guys think? Niall -- G-List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
