Epson printer trouble here too. I've got the Epson 1280 inkjet operating out of a USB port of my G4 733, and when I upgraded from OS 9.1 to 9.2.2, The Epson quit printing documents from Adobe InDesign 1.5.2. I am able to choose the Epson in the Chooser, but then when I hit Print in InDesign, all the menus gray out and the program freezes. However the Epson will still print from Photoshop, MS Word, and other programs, so maybe the trouble is just with InDesign, but then how come InDesign will print just fine with OS 9.1? What's so different about 9.2.2?
I went to the Epson website, but I didn't see any 1280 drivers updated for 9.2.2. I finally re-installed OS 9.1 on another partition just so I can print InDesign documents with it, but it's a nuisance to have to restart into another OS just to do that. If anybody has any ideas how I might get InDesign to work with OS 9.2.2, I'd love to hear them. So far: I've checked that both OSs have the same extensions on, the same Epson files present, and both have Appletalk turned on (so that the HP LaserJet 5MP can work out of the Ethernet port, I guess). InDesign WILL print out through the LaserJet.
