Tough question come to think of it. It's not as easy to answer since I've
been using the classic OS's of Apple since System 6 and though OS 9.1 is
much more stable than previous OSes of Apple it has it's share of quirks. I
like OS 9.1 because of the amount of software available to it. I have my
collection of software that I use and I don't want to go into Classic mode
in OS X nor do I want to purchase the whole gamut of programs again in X
version. OS 9.1 burns CDs better using a Firewire connection and iMovie on
it is more stable than in X.

Then again, OS X just rocks as an OS. I don't recall a time since I
installed X that I had to reboot my system because the screen just froze.
It's smooth, beautiful to work on, and rock solid. Office X prints better
than in Office 2001 and seems faster. I can connect to the net using my DSL
connection without having to install a special program nor do I have to
connect first before I run my browser or mail program; it connects
automatically for me. As well it just zooms on the net.

As of now, I prefer to use OS 9.1 just because of my CD burner, iMovie, and
my software collection (especially my games). However, OS X is working it's
way into my psyche as it gets better with the updates and the software
availability count goes up. With Jaguar coming along, I may find myself
spending more time in X than in 9.
