I have an iMac G3 350 MHz and have just bought a HP LaserJet 4 printer. I have it plugged into mini IDock with two USB serial ports connected by a MacPrinter cable all a part of the spaghetti tangle I have in order to keep everything ticking over.
The printer is OK. When switched on it whirrs into action and is ready to go. But the computer is not talking to the printer. I'm sure it's something simple to do with settings which I don't understand - AppleTalk and USB have me stymied. Can anyone help?
