From Tina Holm.........
>"Well, since you're asking, yes I am. I hate it, and I won't go
>there, it's not Mac at all."

I'm right with Tina in most of her sentiments, although I'm staying
with OS 9.2 and my G3/300 DT because I have no other realistic
option. Unless someone wants to shout me a G4 rocketship with the
latest OS X that is. Yep, I'm a patriotic Kiwi; I could be bought. In
debate with other Maccers here in NZ, we reminisce about previous and
present OS. The consensus seems to be that the best was (is?) 8.6.

In my professional career I went from Sys 6 on Mac Classics to the
mind-numbing horrors of Win 3.1.1 for much of a year, and then to Win
95. And then..... blessed relief; back to Macs and successive OS from
7.1 to 9.2. OS 9 is nice, it's smooth, and it's stable.

I for one do not like the attitude of Apple in intimating, if not
saying outright ..."come with us to OS X and later, or get lost!" One
can still find technical support for Win 3.1.1. Apple could learn a
valuable PR lesson from that. Not everybody can afford, nor do they
necessarily need/want to follow the latest, and most expensive, OS
fashion.

Support for previous OS and software has to continue or Apple will
lose many hundreds, if not thousands of its present supporters.

An Appreciation - of the valuable debate concerning hard drives. Our
local Mac distributor recommends the IBM model(s).
