I recently purchased a G3-233 desktop put a pci firewire/usb card in
it. Partitioned the drive for 3 gig of MacOSX and 1 gig for MacOS9.
Put a Sony 16x DVD into a USB external box and plugged it into my G3.
The apple DVD Player tells me it won't work on this machine. I can't
get a DVD to play on X or 9. I have very little experience with
DVD's.

Does anyone know of a DVD Player that will work on this system?
Do I need to put my DVD on the ide bus?
Is the USB the problem?
Should I have used a firewire external box?
Could it be that the Sony DVD is not compatible?
Is this a case of DVD viewing protection?
