RE: I had ata ide 10 gig,5400 rpm drive that came with G4 350 sawtooth
1oomhz bus speed, Im now useing an Ibm 45 and maxtor 80 gig 7200 rpm
hardrives,I thought my machine ran cool and quiet to begin with,now,it is
just a little more responsive,but more important its much more stable with
the WD caviar gone,I just didnt realize it was causeing me trouble,Im not
sure SCSI is enough faster for the extra money,I think it depends if your
machine presantly supports two ATA drives,or if scsi is needed.it really
depends on your machine and what you use it to do.. I hope this helps some
