Bought OS X from Other World Computing, after partitioning drive the
install went well. Upon restart a gray screen came up and "can't Open"
repeated across the screen. The Mac then boots into OS 9.2. I then
bought the OS 10.1 update from OWC. This installed very well, however
the same thing happens. Why can't I get OS X to open? Does the system
folder in OS X need to be blessed? The OWC tech had me download the
XLR8 control panel which I did. No help with this either. I have
unplugged my add on's and used the startup control panel many time's.
I have a beige G3 266/320 with a 100 gig hard drive formatted to one 7.9
gig part ion on which I loaded the OS X. When you use the part ion
utility from the OS X disk, which part ion should have the OS X? The
upper one or the lower one in that window.
Help Please!!
