Well I seem to have shot myself in the foot this time. I recently purchased a Voodoo4 4500 PCI card that was running in a PC and I installed it in my B&W. I accidentally flashed it with the Voodoo5 rom. I restarted my system and now I only get a beautiful grey screen -- no pointer, no happy mac face. I tried it in my 7300 and I get up to the welcome screen and then it freezes. Someone then told me to re-flash it back to a PC version. So I installed the card into a friend's PC that has a built-in video port and is running XP. I tried to flash it back using the PC flashing program and the V4 4500 PC rom but every time I try it I get the message " Error : there is no Banshee or Voodoo3 card installed in this system". The card is properly placed in the PCI slot and even the fan on the card is working but it can't seem to find it. However when I logon into XP I get the message that it has detected new hardware and even says that it's a VGA controller that it has detected. It then wants to find the drivers for it. I made several disks with the correct drivers but all were rejected. Any ideas on how to re-flash this puppy back to normal or did I just fry my card for good?
