i have been following the router/ISP/firewall thread with some interest

it was my understanding that setting TCP/IP to DHCP and running my
internet connection through a mac that has AppleTalk set to a serial port,
that i was essentially invulnerable, in fact the mac i am writing this email
on has AppleTalk set to modem. an early version (4.5.1) of vicom is doing
the multiple login magic.

am living in fantasy land with regard to a firewall??

my little home network:
B&W/350 - 9.2.2
Beige/333 DT - 9.2.2
7200/75 - 8.1 and vicom
5500/225 - 8.6
PBG3/233 - 9.2.2
4 x Beige/233 DT's - 9.2.2
