Initio PCI SCSI Card Question

I have a beige G3 300 mHz with internal IDE drives, (HDD, Zip, and CD
ROM). I was given an Initio SCSI PCI card for an internal SCSI port.
Questions:
1. Does this require any "drivers" or specific extensions to run, or
just hook up?
2. How does one determine the "termination status" of a bare one Gig
SCSI HDD, which was supposedly previously an internal HDD?
Any help appreciated.
Don
