I suppose I originally started this discussion on P.C.'s, but in all
fairness, I mentioned the P.C. in response to all the crying about the cost
of the new Moc OS, and to point out that the NEW Mac OS is a lot cheaper
than OLD MS OS software.
I think a lot of us use or have used PC's along with our G3's or G4's, and a
discussion about linking them together is a legitimate question.
In fact, the latest ads for DAVE make a good point in that some Macs are
saved from extinction in office networks by being able to network
successfully with Macs. I think there is an element of truth in the ad,
given the bone-headiness of most IT people when it comes to Macs and P.C.'s
co-existing.
This all contributes to the successful life and use of Macs. To defeat your
enemy, you must know him.
