Aloha Shirley
I have been replacing all my IBM HD's with Maxtors' Diamond
pluses and have been very satisfied with them... Are you sure it
isn't software related.....?
Diskwarrior is a great program to use for that......
More oftten than not it has saved my derrier' with my old
HD's and friends....
Is the HD attached to a PCI ATA card or the main HD? Are
the pin settings correct? Selected for main HD and not slave or
cable select?
I also use Techtool Pro.....
I have given up on Norton long ago.....
What OS system are you using and in what computer?
Have you added or changed any software or hardware in that
time since you installed the new HD?
