I just got a 7300 logic board, and am wondering if it requires a special
powersupply. Would one from a 7200 work?

No, the power supply innards are the same, but the external cables are quite
different.

Apple made the following power supplies for the so-called 7500 case, all with
the same innards, but each with its own unique external cable(s):

1) 7500/7600 and 7200, etcetera - 22-pin and 10-pin connectors; 3.3 volts
through the 10-pin connector; 5 volts through the 22-pin connector,

2) 7300 - 24-pin and 10-pin connectors; 3.3 volts and 5 volts through the
24-pin connector,

3) G3 - 20-pin connector only; 3.3 volts and 5 volts through the 20-pin
connector; some pins doubled up.

You could modify a 7500-type power supply (which includes a 7200) to power a
7300 motherboard. Or even an 8600 motherboard.
