I don't know what happened with duplicating the OS X partition with CCC on your B&W, but I tried to do the same thing with CCC and it didn't even show a partition or real HD to copy to so I d/l Apple Software Restore from the same side as where CCC resides and used that to copy my OS X 10.1.5 partition to the slaved HD on my B&W G3. It worked perfectly, I could even boot from it into OS X while my B&W is a Rev1. Two days later the HD in my friends iMac crashed so I put this HD into his iMac and it still worked. Offcourse I had to copy a lot of files back into the Classic System Folder for normal OS 9.2.2 use, because I had trashed almost anything I didn't need for Classic. I suggest you try to copy your OS X partition with Apple Software Restore, if you have a Restore CD you can use the app from that CD. Just copy the app to your HD, drag the OS X partition onto it and after a few secs it'll ask you where to copy the partition to.
