I have a similar partitioning scheme.  My "Apps (Mac OS 9)" folder is in the
"Apps" Partition.  No problem; I start up in OS 9.2.2.  I rarely go Classic
from OS X.  When running Classic, the OS 9.2.2 should always be able to find
its apps on whatever partition you have them.
